Started in 2017, Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic started as a mild pressure, soft shell rental program, in which Dr. Jen saw healing, even in complex medical situations in her own family; but for some cases it was truly insufficient. After the loss of a few patients using low-pressure HBOT for adjunctive cancer treatment, she reviewed the scientific literature on high pressure HBOT which held great promise for better outcomes. The research and burden Dr. Jen felt for those struggling with cancer and chronic illness inspired a calling to open a high-pressure HBOT clinic. With no other high-pressure clinic in the valley to help such hopeless patients, the need for Boise to offer this therapy was great. Offered mainly in hospitals under the restrictions of insurance qualifications, HBOT Clinic of Idaho is positioned to offer these treatments to everyone, for research-based off-label use.
