Dr. Ringo had a dream at the age of twelve, and that was to become a doctor. She watched her grandmother die from cancer and that sparked her desire to help people stay well. Dr. Ringo is a native Clevelander who graduated from Bedford High School , where she was inducted into The Bedford High School Hall of Fame in 2003. She retired from the Army after serving 30 years in the Ohio Army National Guard and was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She also supported Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Ringo was the first African American female in the Ohio Army National Guard to reach the rank of Colonel. She remains the highest ranking African American female amongst their ranks. Dr. Ringo is very active in teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine . She is Board Certified in Family Medicine but has dedicated her entire career to the treatment of diseases of the skin. She worked at two other Dermatology
