Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Faby graduated in Fashion Design from Est cio de S University. At age 25, Faby as founder and creative director launched her own brand, Sawabona, that owned and operated several dedicated stores in Brazil. She has also studied Anatomy at Harvard continued education and is certified by the American Society of Anatomy with a focus on advanced Esthetics and Body Sculpting. Faby has lived in Hawaii for many years, from North Shore to Hawaii Kai, and with the founding of Akala Med Spa she has partnered with Dr. Tony Trpkovski, our Medical Director and CEO of NIU Health. For over 20 years, Francia Birulin has built her career in some of the most demanding areas of healthcare emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and international flight nursing.These experiences shaped her calm precision, advanced clinical judgment, and unwavering commitment to safety, excellence, and compassionate patient care.
